Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are minimally invasive spine surgeries that stabilize the spine following a spinal compression fracture. These fractures are common in patients who have osteoporosis and have experienced weakening of the spinal bones. Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are used to stabilize the internal structure of the spine and can relieve pain.
