Are Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) Safe?
Ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) are also known as outpatient surgery centers. In the last decade or so, ASCs have become more common as they are a lower-cost option than a traditional hospital setting, and often provide the same or better quality of care that one would find in a traditional hospital.

According to the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, a comprehensive report reviewing 12 million procedures shows that receiving care in an outpatient setting is very safe.
